If there was ever a time the LA Dodgers could lose, I would place my bet on tonight.
The Dodgers are a dominant team, and have been winning consistently throughout the past years, but tonight, they have Kenta Maeda pitching for them, and Alex Young is pitching for the Diamondbacks.
Kenta Maeda has a very high ERA, for a Dodgers pitcher, and has been struggling since July. It is actually a surprise to me that the Dodgers are heavy favorites for this one.
Alex Young has been performing in great fashion during his last couple of games, and is still to be beaten on the road. He has a 3-0 record when pitching away from home and a 3-1 record during night games. We have little history on his pitching in the MLB, but I went to his Minors stats this season, and find a very high ERA on the road for his MLB standards.
Then, I went to review his away opponents for this year: San Francisco Giants, Miami Marlins and Texas Rangers. It is no wonder that he allowed only 5 runs in those three total games. He did pitch two innings and a third against the Dodgers away, but not as a starting pitcher. He didn’t allow any runs in that span.

I am going to take the insurance of a run and a half in favor of Arizona, but am also placing a minor bet on the 2.55 odds of Arizona winning it outright.
Pick 2: Over 8.5 runs @ 1.83
I feel like the two pitchers will allow a combined over 8.5 runs, as we will be seeing some offensive firepower from both teams, taking advantage of the situation.
