This Saturday Wolfsburg play hosts to Eintracht Frankfurt in what is probably going to turn into a very lopsided match.
Wolfsburg have had a rough time playing at home this year in the Bundesliga, and that’s enough reason for their 6th place this season and being nine points behind 5th place. Four wins, six draws and four losses are hardly an envious home record, especially considering their seven wins, 3 draws and four losses while playing away. One of the biggest reasons for their dismal home form has been at the attack. They are averaging 0.57 goals less when playing at home than when they are away.
Eintracht Frankfurt on the other hand, have had an even more difficult away season. They have lost ten games out of 13 and have allowed 30 goals in that span. That amounts to 2.31 goals received on average, while they have scored only one goal on average per away game. The stage seems set for Wolfsburg.
Volkswagen Arena will host a very uneven match, through which I expect Wolfsburg to come out on top, but most importantly, score at least twice.
