Brazilian Cup Quarterfinals

After going 1-1 on the Nigeria vs Tunisia match earlier today, we are going to the South American giant.

The Brazilian Cup has its second leg of the quarterfinals tonight, and we are going to look at two matches in particular.

Atletico Mineiro plays against Cruzeiro, at home, after having lost the first leg 3-0. I am seeing a Mineiro team that tends to score goals at home, having scored at least once in all of their last five home matches.

This will prompt Cruzeiro to want to score again and kill Mineiro’s hopes. Also, Cruzeiro has scored at least once in all of its last five away matches. On another note, they haven’t won away from home in any of them.

Pick: Both teams to score at -115

The other match that we will be looking at, is the one between Internacional and Palmeiras.

Palmeiras won the first leg 0-1, and will now look to close it out away from home. It is interesting to note that Palmeiras has only lost once against Internacional in the past two years. They have won three times by a score of 1-0.

Unfortunately for Palmeiras, the two matches they have not won, have been at Internacional’s home ground. A 0-0 draw and a 2-1 defeat are those two results.

Tonight, I feel that we are going to watch a match similar to that 2-1 defeat, but it might go the other way around, with Palmeiras coming out on top.
Palmeiras has scored in each of its last five away matches, only losing one of those, precisely by a 2-1 defeat against Gremio.

Internacional has won four out of five at home and has only not scored during their last home game, a defeat against Brasil Pelotas in a friendly.

Pick: Both teams to score at +110.
