MLB Pick: Padres @ Marlins

We won earlier this week with the Marlins against the Padres on a whooping by the Marlins hitters. Pitcher Yamamoto had three earned runs in the game, but was able to secure the first five innings win.

Today, these two teams play an 11 AM match, where both starters tend to give up runs. The Padres are starting Dinelson Lamet. Now, we all know about the problems San Diego has been having with pitchers, but today, they are placing a pitcher that has not had a day game this year, in a humid and hot environment in Miami. He has also struggled to keep his Earned Runs down over the course of his career, both in Minor League and Major League. I expect the Marlins to take advantage of this.

For the Marlins, Caleb Smith and his 2.08 at home ERA will be pitching to start. Although an impressive stat, his ERA goes up to 6.75 during Day Games, allowing 15 earned runs in 20 innings. I also expect the Padres to capitalize on this.

The over/under total for the game is at a low 7.5 runs, I expect both teams to crush it.

Pick: Over 7.5 at -108.

I didn’t find that all sportsbooks have the pick that I am actually taking a higher stake on, which is the over 9.5 at +200.

The odds have been going down rapidly, I was able to take the over 7.5 still at a positive odd and the over 9.5 at around +235. Get your picks in!
